The IMF will consider in the coming weeks.
Ukraine and the international monetary Fund reached a preliminary agreement on standby credit (stand-by) five billion dollars at 18 months, the statement said the Fund, reports the Chronicle.info with reference to the Correspondent.
The purpose of the loan is to assist the Ukrainian authorities in the struggle with the consequences of a pandemic of a new type of coronavirus.
It is expected that this agreement “will be a catalyst for additional bilateral and multilateral financial support.”
The preliminary agreement will be approved by the Board and the Executive Board of the IMF.
“Board consideration is expected in the coming weeks,” added the IMF.
