June 30, HBO will show a documentary “Welcome to Chechnya”. He would tell about the persecution of LGBT people in the Caucasian Republic. YouTube appeared the first trailer of the picture, reports the Chronicle.info with reference to the Apostrophe.

The film was nominated for “Oscar” David France (“How to survive a plague”). The shooting took place not only outside Chechnya, but also directly on its territory. The faces of most of the characters will be hidden.

According to the description, the characters in the movie are people who are looking for ways to leave Chechnya and a member of the “Russian LGBT network” and Director of the community center for LGBT initiatives that are trying to help them.

The world premiere took place in January of this year at the Sundance Film Festival in the United States. Next month the painting by Frans received the audience award at the Berlinale in Germany.
