Ukraine became the only European country that will receive assistance from the UN.
The United Nations (UN) will provide Ukraine assistance in the amount of 33 million dollars as part of a plan to combat coronavirus. This was announced by the representative of the Ukrainian delegation to the UN Oleg Nikolenko in Facebook, reports the Chronicle.info with reference to an RBC.
According to him, the funds will be used to implement humanitarian projects in the Eastern regions on both sides of the demarcation line. In particular we are talking about the following areas: health institutions, food security and commodities, the elderly and people with disabilities, and high school education.
“The global humanitarian response plan for the fight against COVID-19, which today was announced by the UN Secretary General, provides assistance and Ukraine. The amount of the benefit will amount to 33 million dollars,” wrote Nikolenko.
Nikolenko declared that Ukraine became the only European country that will receive assistance from the UN.
