Ukraine will raise the question about the escalation in the Donbass at the meeting of the UN security Council.
The Kremlin has not commented on the escalation in the Donbas on Tuesday, 18 February, to clarify the details of the clashes, said the press Secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov, reports the Chronicle.info with reference to the Correspondent.
“I hope that in the near future will be able to clarify the details of the incident before making any conclusions,” he said.
“We do not have the details of that collision, we do not know what triggered this clash, we read reports that there are victims on both sides. In this connection we Express our sympathy,” said a Kremlin spokesman.
This Peskov categorically rejected the assumption that Moscow is also responsible for the incident.
In turn, the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine has called on Russia to respect the Minsk and Normandy obligations.
“We are deeply concerned by today’s reports of an escalation of the conflict in the Donbas and urge Russia to respect its Minsk commitments and Normandy” — said in a Twitter of the Embassy.
Meanwhile, the Ukrainian foreign Ministry urged the international community to condemn this escalation.
“Very concerned about the escalation in the Donbas after the last Russian attack. The use of prohibited weapons led to a new wave of victims. This latest violation of the agreements reached at the meeting in the Normandy format. We urge the international community to condemn this escalation,” wrote foreign Ministry spokesman Yekaterina Zelenko on Twiiter.
In turn, the mission of Ukraine to the EU, briefed the EU on the escalation, calling on partners to take decisive reaction.
“Another cynical attack Russia in the Donbass. Today forces of the Russian Federation and supported forces launched an offensive and massive attack of positions of VSU with the use of weapons prohibited by the accords. One soldier was killed and four wounded,” he wrote on Twitter Ukraine’s Ambassador to the EU Nikolay Tochitskii.

“Ukraine will raise the issue of attacks close to the Gold on the UN security Council meeting held today,” wrote Nikolenko in Facebook.
The beginning of the meeting will be held at 22:00 Kyiv time.
