Facebook for Windows 10 will be removed from the Windows Store Feb 28, 2020.
Facebook users who get access to the social network using the same app from Windows Store for Windows 10, will soon be able to use it. The company Mark Zuckerberg announced that it would stop support of this app on Friday 28 February 2020, reports the Chronicle.info with reference for Today.
Resource MSPowerUser found an email warning of discontinuance of the application which has sent some users of Windows 10. The reason for the removal of the program from the Windows Store was a huge number of bugs, defects and other problems. Users complain that the app is inferior to the mobile counterparts for iOS and Android. Also Facebook for Windows 10 very rarely receives updates and is not available in almost any support.
Uninstalling the app is not shocking news. It is extremely unpopular and has a rating of 2.4 out of 10 based on 1126 reviews in the Windows Store. Users complain of crashes, slow performance and other “glitches”. Regular updates were not a priority for Facebook, and now they are cutting their resources, closing the app and directing users to the web site of the social network.
However, the app messaging Facebook Messenger to the Windows Store recently got an update and will continue to work and get support in the future.
