The wood used for the well.
Czech scientists find the oldest known wooden structure in the world. If the experts have made the right conclusions, the oak from which it was made, cut 7275 years ago, reports the Chronicle.info with reference to the Apostrophe.
The design represents the upper part of the well.
“Based on our findings, based on dendrochronological data, the wood that was used for the manufacture of the well, were cut down between 5255 and 5256 with BC,” says researcher Yaroslav of Sand.
This discovery was made even 2018 in the heart of city Island. Examination showed that the well was built during the Neolithic. Interesting, but no found traces of the settlement.
The upper part of the well consisted of four oak pillars, which were located at the corners, and between them had boards. The size of the square was about 80 by 80 centimeters.
“It was built using techniques that have been used in the bronze and copper age. We were not even aware that the first farmers who had tools from wood, bone, horns, was able to treat the surface of the felled trunks with such precision,” said Sand.
