At Duke University in the US, doctors reanimated heart, and taken a dead donor. Body usually lasts 6 hours after removal from the body of the donor. In the latter should be artificially supported circulation before the operation.
This time, scientists have restored the flow of blood to the bloodless body, added electrolytes and oxygen. Heart “came alive” and was transplanted to the recipient.
The details of the operation were not disclosed. This experience can in the near future to help increase the number of donor organs. The first heart transplant was performed in South Africa in 1967.
