In October, inflation slowed to 6.5% compared to October last year. Named products and prices that are cheaper.

In October 2019, consumer prices in Ukraine grew by 0.7% compared with the previous month, but in annual terms inflation slowed to 6.5%, according to the state statistics service, reports the Chronicle.info with reference to korrespondent.net.

It is noted, food in October rose 1%, in annual terms — by 8.8%.

Most of all, the prices of eggs — by 9.6%, vegetables — by 4.6%, milk — by 2.6%, bread and bakery products — by 1.5%. At the same time, the sugar price fell by 2.3%, fruit — by 0.6%.

“Prices of alcoholic beverages and tobacco rose 0.8%, clothing and footwear rose by 1.9%. Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels fell by 0.4%.

Household items and household appliances also fell — by 0.3%.

At the same time, health care services rose 0.3 percent, transport fell by 0.7% (including fuel prices decreased by 0.1%).

The prices for communication increased by 4.2%, recreation and culture rose by 0.3%, education rose by 0.4%, restaurants and hotels rose by 1.1%.
