The debut of electric cars will take place from 24 October to 4 November at the motor show in Tokyo in 2019.
Toyota announced today that it will supply up to 20 specially designed vehicles e-Palette “Tokyo 2020 Version” to support the mobility of sportsmen in the Olympic and Paralympic games in Tokyo 2020, reports the Chronicle.info with reference to avtodream.org.
The automated vehicle battery has been specially adapted for use during the Games, in particular, based on the feedback of athletes on their mobility in past games.

First announced in 2018, the e-Palette is the first Toyota designed specifically for applications of Autonomous mobility as a service. It reflects a permanent shift Toyota to a new level and integrates electrification and advanced technology to support new businesses with joint use of mobile devices and business models.
The electric car has been adapted to meet the unique needs of the Olympic and Paralympic villages. The model has large doors and an electric ramp that allows groups of athletes, including Paralympians, fast and easy to get on Board. The vehicle will be controlled by an automated driving system, capable of operating up to 20 kilometers per hour, supported by an onboard operator safety.
Electronic palette with large sliding doors, low floors, ramps and electric control system arrival to use when approaching the destination, so that passengers, including those in wheelchairs, can quickly and easily get in and out. With its long wheelbase and flat floor, the car can carry up to four passengers in wheelchairs at the same time with additional standing passengers.
